Our client is a leading consultancy in the construction industry. They are currently seeking a skilled Senior Cost Compliance and Assurance Specialist to join their team assist their continuing growth. This is a hybrid role.
Key responsibilities
- Review construction contractor systems, controls and processes to build a view on best practice using industry expertise.
- Analysis and understanding of complex construction contracts. (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke).
- Test data and information using tools such as data visualisation and trend analysis, for example PowerBI or Tableau.
- Produce written findings reports that succinctly deliver key findings and recommendations.
- Review outputs intended for circulation to clients and provide feedback to colleagues, where relevant.
- Build and foster excellent professional relationships with clients, and demonstrate excellent collaborative skills as part of a diverse team.
Skills & experience
- Assurance or auditing experience in a construction, commercial or accountancy setting.
- Contract management: ideally NEC 3 or 4
- Assessment of accuracy and entitlement to cost.
- Strong data analysis skills using PowerBI or Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills, including written reports, and ability to influence and engage with stakeholders.
- Excellent people management and experience working and collaborating in a team environment.
- Hold or working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent (i.e. MRICS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.).
Desirable Skills:
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
