Due to growth within the organisation our client are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join this dynamic Engineering and Technology Company as a Security Practitioner (Crypto). This role, which would suit a security professional with experience in a Facilities Security Clearance (FSC) environment, plays a critical part of the overall security function in the organisation.

As a valued member of the Security Team, reporting to the Deputy Security Manager as part the Corporate Services Directorate, you will use your experience as a Security Practitioner to deliver advice and support to all aspects of the organisation in a timely manner. They’re looking for a self-starter and ‘people person’ to thrive within their growing Security team.

• Fulfil the Crypto Custodian function and implied tasks
• Implement routine services across the Physical Security function ensuring services are accessible, reliable, consistent and repeatable across the entire company estate
• Support to working environment accreditation, including governance and assurance inspections
• Manage and administer the company Information Security (IS) Risk Register
• Assist security incident investigations
• Support transactions in/out requiring secure transit /registration
• Supply Chain security coordinator
• Manage the Security Team SharePoint site
• Always fully comply with company policies and procedures
• Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business

• Experience in a Security Practitioner role, ideally within a HMG environment or an organisation with strong security regimes.
• Experience within FSC or MOD environments is desirable.
• Demonstrable Crypto experience JSP 490, HMG IA No 4
• An understanding of information security best practice (industry standards)
• An understanding of HMG security requirements, ideally with experience of handling and accounting for sensitive material/media
• Awareness of ISO 27001-2013 implementation
• Excellent organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
• Ability to balance priorities and manage time effectively
• Fully IT literate with Microsoft Office package and other applications
