Safety Engineer

Introduction

Our client is looking for a Land Safety Consultant to provide in-depth safety advice on the land domain for Defence projects.

You will provide guidance to the development of safety management systems so experience with this is essential!

Hybrid working 2 – 3 days on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership of major Land safety-critical projects and programmes.
  • Advise and influence clients how to develop and verify such systems to ensure that they meet Land engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the development of engineering solutions for clients.
  • Provide support in shaping technical strategy and implementation.
  • Provide quality checking and independent technical assurance of deliverables.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the development of safety management solutions.
  • Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
Skills & experience
  • Experience in the implementation of Safety Management Systems and the interpretation and analysis of results.
  • Working Knowledge of Industry and Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056 etc.
  • Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform or at system level.
  • Accomplished Practitioner within Safety Critical Systems Engineering.
  • Experienced in developing proposals and providing technical assurance.
  • Develop innovative Safety Management solutions to support operations.

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
