Introduction
Our client is looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to work on implementing safety systems and assurance with their client within the defence land domain so experience working on armoured vehicles or tanks is desirable, MOD experience is essential!
The role is varied - from developing innovative Safety Management solutions, to growing new areas of the business, and enabling the individuals in your division to thrive.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site per week (local site but with some travel UK wide).
Key responsibilities
- You will be working with clients to deliver safety management projects in the land domain.
- Develop and implement land safety management systems and analyse their results.
- Apply Defence standards such as Def-Stan 00-056 to projects.
- Support to sales and business development by building relationships with clients.
- Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
- Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of capability.
- Leadership of major safety management assignments for clients.
Skills & experience
- Experience in the implementation of Safety Management Systems and the interpretation and analysis of results.
- Working Knowledge of Industry and Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056, Defence Safety Authority Regulations etc.
- Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform or at system level.
- Accomplished Practitioner within Safety Critical Systems Engineering.
- Experienced in developing proposals and providing technical assurance.
- Develop innovative Safety Management solutions to support operations.
