Risk Manager

Our client is a leading Consultancy working in Defence, and they are looking for an Associate Director within Risk to join their team to work across the South West and Wales.

The ideal candidate will have worked in Defence or CNI, in a highly regulated programme environment, working with clients!

Working Patterns – 2-3 days per week onsite

• Lead on risk management identification within core Defence programmes.
• Work in a client facing role, to facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, risks, opportunities and issues within programmes.
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points.
• Use risk data to inform investment planning or business case development.
• Assist with the identification and recording of appropriate management responses.
• Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining risk contingency or budget.
• Proactively manage the completion of management responses to help deliver target positions.
• Work with contractors to assess contractor held risks and their views on client held risks.
• Produce risk reports as required, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.

• Experience in a client facing role (ideally within consultancy) within Defence or Critical National Infrastructure.
• Proven experience in a risk delivery lead role on major infrastructure projects/programmes.
• APM/IRM/MoR risk certified.
• Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experienced levels of competence with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar.
