Our client is looking for an innovative systems engineer with a focus on systems integration and military communications and intelligence systems

They are supporting the Defence Industry to help create a safe and secure world and need you to join them on their mission!

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, it is likely that a large proportion of the work will be site based, however they are happy to discuss individual requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be supporting many diverse critical communications systems.
  • They are looking for someone to elicit requirements and put them into DOORs.
  • You will be responsible for a variety of tasks from devising systems concepts and architectural design to functional analysis and modelling and simulation.
  • Working across the Systems Engineer lifecycle, you’ll provide key technical information for projects and check the quality of sub-contractors’ work.
Skills & experience
  • Knowledge of military external communications; military communications networks (WAN and LAN); electronic warfare systems; command and control systems; or software and hardware architecture design.
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Requirements capture and use of DOORs
  • Ability to create, maintain and follow technical procedures and documentation
  • Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a team environment
  • Results-focused - able to work with minimum supervision yet deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve complex problems using a variety of engineering skillsets to create simple and elegant solutions
