This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in-office.

Key responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team supporting the management team as well as Cost Engineers, and independently, to provide a full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion.
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents, and supply chain payment assessment, as well as supporting and reporting Project forecasts.
  • Provide construction phase contract Quantity Surveying services including change management, contractor payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Develop client relationships and provide an outstanding level of service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management.
  • Support Project Manager(s) and Programme Manager in Monthly Finance and Delivery Reviews, and attending monthly supplier Project Meetings and carry out associated contract administration as required, via CEMAR.
  • Raise purchase and contract requisitions, occasionally receipting invoices within the relevant internal system, and assessing and checking invoices and valuations, providing advice to PM to resolve invoice queries.
  • Monitoring cost against change and attendance of the change control/EWN meetings.
Skills & experience
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying.
  • Nuclear experience.
  • Experience working with both pre and post-contract duties in an NEC environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, and communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of Stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills (to support Cost Pre-meetings and Pre meetings for month ends.
  • Detailed working knowledge of cost engineering functions, cost control and cost analysis.
