Our client works on Defence, Aerospace and Commercial projects and is looking for someone with a background in Software Quality assurance to join their team!

You will have a fantastic opportunity to work on critical UK wide projects for our client, auditing suppliers and 3rd parties, as well as providing advice internally.

This would suit Lead AS9100 Auditor or similar and you will have the opportunity to be involved in a transition from ISO90001 to AS9100.

This role will require some travel to the site in Hampshire and UK wide, but mostly can be done remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance oversight of various programmes and arranging, planning and supporting audits from external (customer, regulatory and certification assessment) bodies.
  • Engagement with external industry, Government and Military Quality Assurance staff.
  • Auditing and approval of suppliers.
  • Ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory, statutory, company and local plans, processes and procedures.
  • The post holder is also required to provide QA oversight to the delegated signatory for equipment release.
  • Supply chain monitoring and assessment, including subcontractor site audits, inspections, etc. in collaboration with other functions, will also be required.
Skills & experience
  • Qualified AS9100 Lead auditor (preferred) or Qualified Lead Auditor in one of the following ISO9001, 20000, 27001 or TickITplus.
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent or have a recognised engineering qualification.
  • Familiarity with software management and change controls.
  • Experience working with Agile development techniques.
  • Root Cause Analysis qualification.
  • Occurrence Investigator qualification.
  • Ability to work with and influence across multiple functions and levels within a small team.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • Experience of working with the Ministry of Defence
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
