Our client are a global consultancy who have a portfolio of Infrastructure projects across their real estate, Infrastructure and energy sector hence why they are looking for project Managers who have worked on complex Infrastructure projects.
You will be managing, delivering and leading a wide range of NEC contract projects across the infrastructure space, working with external clients so you will need some client facing experience.
Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and managing a range of Infrastructure projects within the water, utilities, highways or rail sector, across the full project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered to time, cost, and to a high quality standard.
- Manage the NEC contracts, ensuring compliance with client requirements taking into account risk and change aspects that could occur with the projects.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Act as the SME’s for clients, ensuring strong relationships with external clients and stakeholders. Ensure they are up to date on the timelines and milestones within the project.
- Managing multi-disciplinary teams by managing contractors and consultants on Infrastructure projects.
Skills & experience
- Significant experience of infrastructure project management and/or programme management across the project lifecycle.
- Excellent leadership skills, capable of developing teams
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills with an ability to quickly understand complex problems and shape these into workable solutions for delivery.
- Experience of utilities/water/transport infrastructure project management.
- Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts.
- Experience of managing commercial management.
- Degree or HND qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Professional affiliation, qualification or near qualified status with the APM, ICE, ITP, or similar Professional institution.
- Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP).
- NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications.
- CDM Awareness.
