Project Manager – Digital Transformation

Our client is a large consultancy in the UK and are particularly successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Change and Software Engineering.

Their agile solutions contribute to a stronger and more cost-effective defence agenda, without sacrificing the overall mission of organisations.

Key responsibilities
  • Assisting with the design and development of major programmes (focused on digital strategy & planning, technology implementation, digital delivery and enterprise architecture)
  • Lead and support transformation workstreams including the development of engagement plans, managing critical paths and interdependencies between workstreams that are implementing change across major programmes.
  • Manage/support progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.
  • Produce project deliverables in line with the engagement plan.
  • Support the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.
  • Support the development of our propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills across all levels of client and company stakeholders
Skills & experience

You should have strong experience in most of the following:

  • Proven experience of delivery on major programmes across the private or public sector.
  • We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds who are curious, creative and critical thinkers and who have experiences and ideas that can be applied to some of the most pressing challenges that we face, which may include:
  • Digital strategy and roadmaps, including: strategic transformation, strategy definition and planning, delivery strategy, or business case development.
  • Data strategies, including: data model development, data management / governance process design, data definition development,
  • Enterprise architecture, including: systems architecture design and mapping, enterprise systems transformation, collaboration tools
  • Digital culture, including: agile / waterfall methodologies, digital behaviours, business agility, innovation process design
  • Ability to present to client/stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
  • Problem solving, attention to details, creative thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and fast-paced project environments
  • Self-starting with high degree of personal motivation and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients.
