Project Finance Analyst

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join their project team, focusing on project finance, forecasting and support for a Defence project.

You will ideally have experience within a Defence/Project environment and have excellent stakeholder engagement skills so that you can present back to the client.

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification (either fully qualified or nearly qualified).

Working Patterns: You will need to be in the office 3 days per week to start with, that may reduce to 2 days per week once you are established. You will need to be able to start at 8.30am for daily calls. 

• Providing high quality, accurate and actionable financial analysis for a key Defence project.
• Provide monthly forecasting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with UK and Global teams to support the achievement of all metrics (bookings, sales, profit, cash).
• Establish annual and five year plan targets.
• Provide quarterly estimation reporting.
• Support new business proposals and bids.
• Provide information for Gate Reviews including pricing and basis-of-estimate generation.
• Provide financial insight to support the business risk and opportunities process.
• Present back analysis and forecasting reports to key stakeholders.

• CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
• Defence or Project experience is ideal, or the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• 5 years experience within a finance/accounting role.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, analytical and detail orientated.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting.
