- They are actively recruiting Senior Project Controls Engineers to join their expanding London infrastructure team, supporting several high-profile projects across the city.
- In this role, Senior Project Controls Engineers contribute to high-value infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analytical support. They may work within a larger team or act as the main day-to-day liaison with the client.
Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with up to 3 days per week on site and further travel to sites as required.
Key responsibilities
- Typical responsibilities involve collaborating with cost and planning engineers to create work breakdown structures and solid performance baselines, setting up progress and cost tracking methods, generating project control reports, and delivering performance analysis along with recommendations to clients.
Skills & experience
- Prior experience in a project controls role on major infrastructure projects or programmes (ideally in Airports, Rail, Utilities, or Defence) is preferred. However, candidates must demonstrate solid expertise in earned value management, progress updates, cost control, change control, baseline management, reporting, and working in a Primavera P6 environment to successfully perform the role.
- The role requires strong numeracy, computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, planning tools like Primavera, and project reporting databases. Knowledge of financial and procurement systems such as Oracle and SAP, as well as web-based project control platforms, is also expected.
- Candidates are typically graduates in a relevant field with practical experience in project controls or proven experience in similar roles.
- Senior Project Controls Engineers should be proactive, self-motivated, and possess strong analytical skills alongside excellent communication abilities.
