Our client is passionate about Project Controls within the Defence industry, delivering projects within Infrastructure, Construction or Engineering environments!

They have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controller to join their expanding team in the South West, where the successful candidate will provide performance reporting and analysis support within a supportive team!

You will be expected to be client facing so experience within the Defence industry in a client facing role is essential.

Working Patterns: Hybrid – 2/3 days in office. Additional flexibility needed with visiting local client sites.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform a Project Controller role on client work within the Defence industry.
  • Be responsible for ensuring projects run to schedule and cost.
  • Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
  • Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
  • Interact with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules and cost information.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
Skills & experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Project Controls role for a Defence or Consultancy company.
  • Previous responsibility for delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes or portfolios.
  • Experience managing projects schedules and budgets within a project management team.
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Experience using applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
  • Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC contract processes would be a plus.
