Project Controls Consultant
Introduction
Our client is a leading Management Consultancy who work with clients in the Defence sector to implement project controls and planning and scheduling processes into their projects.
Candidates must have experience working in a Defence environment previously and ideally have worked within consulting environment.
You will also be working heavily within planning and scheduling.
This role offers hybrid working of 2 to 3 days per week onsite.
Key responsibilities
- The development and maintenance of P3M processes including planning and scheduling.
- Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
- Implement project controls within client projects.
- Provide risk management support to projects.
- Support project cost and budgeting preparation.
- Preparation and regular updating of Project Master Schedule.
- Expedite monthly reports and prepare the monthly Project Progress Report.
- Interact with and assist project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
- Assist project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
- Assist project teams to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
Skills & experience
Qualifications:
- Be an experienced Project Controller with experience across planning and scheduling.
- Have experience working in the Defence sector either client side or supplier side, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Experience within Primavera P6 and other planning and resourcing software.
- Excellent customer facing experience and excellent stakeholder management skills.
