Project Controls Consultant

Our client is a leading Management Consultancy who work with clients in the Defence sector to implement project controls and planning and scheduling processes into their projects.

Candidates must have experience working in a Defence environment previously and ideally have worked within consulting environment.

You will also be working heavily within planning and scheduling.

This role offers hybrid working of 2 to 3 days per week onsite.

• The development and maintenance of P3M processes including planning and scheduling.
• Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
• Implement project controls within client projects.
• Provide risk management support to projects.
• Support project cost and budgeting preparation.
• Preparation and regular updating of Project Master Schedule.
• Expedite monthly reports and prepare the monthly Project Progress Report.
• Interact with and assist project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments. 
• Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
• Assist project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
• Assist project teams to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.

Qualifications:

• Be an experienced Project Controller with experience across planning and scheduling.
• Have experience working in the Defence sector either client side or supplier side, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Experience within Primavera P6 and other planning and resourcing software.
• Excellent customer facing experience and excellent stakeholder management skills.
