Introduction

Our client is working with the Ministry of Defence in supporting the development of a Training Programme for the Navy.

You will ideally have experience delivering a Training Programme to the Ministry of Defence and have managed complex projects/programmes.

Experience in projects delivering courseware/multimedia content is desirable.

Working patterns: At least 2 days per week in Portsmouth, potentially more so need to be flexible to travel. Base will be Portsmouth so have to get there at own cost.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of programmes providing training equipment for the Royal Navy.
  • Work with the Training Equipment Team to manage the programme elements of the service.
  • Manage the onboarding of a new Naval school into the programme and supporting on commercial clarification on the contract.
  • Effect change through a matrix organisation.
  • Manage the programme finances and governance of the programme.
  • Build excellent relationships with the client and be responsible for escalations and customer interface.
  • Implement best practice and manage by example to instil flawless programme execution behaviours and processes.
Skills & experience
  • Experience of managing complex programme and customers within the Defence industry.
  • Experience within Training Delivery, Simulator or Courseware Design projects is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience within a matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrate and advocate leadership behaviours.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding.
  • Desire to drive to create change and continuously improve performance.
