Introduction

My client is a leading prime contractor and systems integrator responsible for a wide portfolio of high-profile technology programmes across the defence space. They are frontrunners for providing systems engineering, software development and complex programme management for global security, cyber, civil and commercial markets.

They are looking for a Programme Controller to provide support to the programme controls team by delivering Scheduling, Cost, Risk and Earned Value Management (EVM), Control Account Management and Work Package Management services throughout their portfolio of defence programmes.

My client is open to candidates who are looking for hybrid working opportunities, but they expect candidates to be based onsite in their Hampshire office. My client will also be open to putting candidates through the security clearance process prior to starting and will help in every step along the way. Key responsibilities
  • Provide support across a whole portfolio of programmes, managing key aspects on numerous programmes simultaneously.
  • Manage and support on all the Programme Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and schedule management plans, activities, and reports.
  • Provide Planning, Scheduling, Risk and Opportunity Management expertise to other areas of the business and provide reports during Schedule, Risk and financial reviews.
  • Co-ordinate Monthly Risk Management Reviews, ensuring that risk mitigation activities are monitored throughout the progress of the programme and reported during these meetings.
Skills & experience
  • SME in Programme Performance Management
  • Experience using the Deltek Open Plan platform or other planning/scheduling tools.
  • Experience using the ARM (Active Risk Manager) platform to mitigate and manage all Risks.
  • Knowledge in the Earned Value Management application and ability to use this within programmes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Excel
