Product Innovation Analyst

My client is a leading engineering consultancy who supply their clients with complex solutions in the National Security Sector.  We are looking for a Product Innovation Analyst to coordinate tasks on current products & technologies. You will compare against competitors and market trends to find areas of improvement.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3 days on site

• Gain in-depth understanding of the product, technology, and capabilities portfolio.
• Analyse and compare offerings against competitors, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to validate findings and shape recommendations.
• Lead workshops and present insights through reports, models, and dashboards to senior stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on technology, product, or innovation-focused transformation projects.
• Strong ability to analyse product portfolios, technology roadmaps, and market offerings.
• Experience within software, digital, or technology-driven organisations.
• Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to create structured Excel models; Power BI experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather information from a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience in the defence and national security sector is beneficial.
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
