Our Client is a leading provider of engineering and technical services to the UK defence market They are seeking an experienced procurement or commercial consultant to advise their clients on the tender process.

Key responsibilities
  • Working within multi-disciplinary teams across the UK to deliver excellent results for the clients.
  • Supporting the clients through complex tendering processes to engage suppliers that will provide the goods or services the client seeks.
  • facilitating workshops to understand the business need, preparing tender specifications.
  • Providing contract management, supplier management or commercial advice to clients.
  • Preparing reports and presenting to a range of client stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of our clients’ tools, techniques and methods to further their capabilities.
Skills & experience
  • Build good and lasting relationships with clients at all levels in a business environment.
  • Gain strong client trust and identify opportunities for adding further value to the client relationship.
  • You maintain a flexible attitude to working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • You have experience in specifying tenders and selecting service providers in a commercial environment.
  • Ideally you will have experience in one or more of our clients’ key markets: Defence, Public sector or Nuclear.
  • CIPS accreditation or similar is highly desirable.
  • You are proactive and enjoy working with a variety of people, but also comfortable working independently.
