We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager, who is confident with external and internal stakeholder management.

This role is for a consultancy who specialise in programme management, project management, cost management and consulting across infrastructure, natural resources, and property within the defence sector

Key responsibilities
  • Working within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver excellent results for their clients.
  • Support on tenders for both internal and external clients.
  • Engage with suppliers by facilitating workshops to understand the business needs, preparing tender specifications, working with client legal advisers, engaging with suppliers, co-ordinating tender evaluation and supporting clients in negotiations.
  • Providing contract management, supplier management or commercial advice to clients.
  • Contributing to the development of their tools, techniques and methods that can be shared to build capabilities within their Procurement & Commercial Consulting team, and Business & Digital Consulting practice.
  • Perform Commodity Savings and co-ordinate Purchasing activities.
Skills & experience
  • Build on new and existing relationships with clients across a variety of levels across the business and identify opportunities for adding further value to the client relationship.
  • Experience in specifying tenders and selecting service providers in a commercial environment.
  • Experience reporting and presenting to a range of client stakeholders.
  • CIPS accreditation or similar is highly desirable.
  • Experience of contributing to the sale of management consulting work – including bid development and presentations is desirable.
  • Experience with multi-million-pound budgets
  • Analytical Background
