Principal Test Engineer
Introduction
Our client is actively recruiting for Test Engineers at all levels to work on very highly classified systems and software!
You’ll be deeply involved in the full engineering and test life cycle, including working directly with stakeholders to understand and capture requirements/user stories, through to integration, acceptance and customer sign off aligned to expectations.
Working Patterns – Predominantly on site due to the nature of the systems being used.
You will need to hold a British passport to obtain the clearance.
Key responsibilities
- Create high- and low-level test designs.
- Use a multitude of automation techniques and technologies to improve the way in which our clients perform deliveries.
- Provide ongoing support for existing systems and maintaining compatibility against external developments.
- Support delivery teams by providing assurance to ensure on time and high-quality delivery.
- Gathering information and presenting to stakeholders.
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to more junior team members.
Skills & experience
- Knowledge and experience of manual and/or automated test execution and associated test activities such as Defect Management, Test Case creation, execution and recording etc.
- Experience with a dedicated Test Management tool such as HP ALM, TestRail, X-Ray etc.
- Automation frameworks e.g. Robot Framework and use of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with different scripting languages, such as Powershell, Bash, Python or Java.
- Knowledge of software methodologies such as Scrum and Agile.
