Introduction

Our client is looking for an innovative Lead/Principal level systems engineer to work as our client’s Electronic Warfare SME.

They are supporting the Defence Industry to help create a safe and secure world and need you to join them on their mission!

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, it is likely that a large proportion of the work will be site based, however they are happy to discuss individual requirements.

Our client is looking for someone with experience across the whole Systems Engineering lifecycle and have an understanding of the effect of EW design.

The Key Responsibilities of the Principal Systems Engineer:

You will provide Electronic Warfare and Combat Management System within the Maritime domain (or similar) to act as the EW SME for internal and external stakeholders within the Defence industry.

Key responsibilities
  • You will provide Electronic Warfare and Combat Management System within the Maritime domain (or similar) to act as the EW SME for internal and external stakeholders within the Defence industry.
Skills & experience
  • Broad understanding of Electronic Warfare.
  • Experience with the design and development of Electronic Warfare systems and the associated support systems i.e., library data/formats, mission planning etc.
  • Understanding of the process of testing and integrating systems.
  • Delivery of systems across the Systems Engineering life cycle and an understanding of the CADMID life cycle.
  • Able to understand the effect of system design and change on the cost of the development.
  • Working knowledge of MoD processes and standards and Knowledge in Defence (KiD) framework.
  • The use of modelling tools is desirable, e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS, UML.
  • Capable of undertaking and documenting detailed development activities including proof of concept designs.
