Planning Engineer [Water / Utilities]

Introduction

Our client is a world-leading management consultancy. You’ll be working with their large water infrastructure customer, developing, and maintaining schedules, ensuring they are kept up to date and on track.

They are looking for candidates with P6 and NEC knowledge, as well as previous water/utilities experience. If this sounds like you, apply today!

This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site per week.

Key responsibilities
  • Be responsible for all activities associated with Level 1 and Level 2 schedules.
  • Support the project teams with all planning related responsibilities.
  • Participate in project planning and progress meetings.
  • Identify and maintain the project milestone and schedule interface activities.
  • Assist with managing contracts and contractor schedules.
  • Support the programmes progress and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure schedule requirements are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Adhere to NEC rules for management of schedule data and submissions.
  • Stay aware of commitments and help manage them to avoid issues.
Skills & experience
  • Hold a relevant degree – ideally in a construction related subject.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 and MS Office Applications.
  • Experience working in a water/utilities environment.
  • Have experience in planning, monitoring, and reviewing schedules both on-site and remotely.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes.
  • Knowledge of NEC contract processes.
