Offshore commercial Manager

Introduction

Our client are a large consultancy working on high voltage offshore wind projects!

 

They are looking for someone to take the lead and manage high voltage contracts. The ideal candidate will need experience working on Fidic/Logic contracts. You will also have excellent stakeholder relations.

 

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per fortnight in Dublin.

 

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and align tender packages to organisational requirements.
  • Manage commercial and contractual matters.
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders i.e the procurement and legal departments.
  • Display strong negotiation skills and have excellent conflict management skills.
  • Update the team on supply chain development, whilst highlighting any potential risks.
  • Developing PQQ, tenders, evaluation criteria and scope of work whilst evaluating Feed and EPCI packages.
  • Review supplier contracts and ensure they are in line with timescales.
  • Extensive record keeping leading on the assessment of contract variations in line with contractual provisions.
  • Ensure contract compliance throughout the duration of the contract, including monitoring deliverables, managing variations and claims and resolving disputes.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and reporting by systematically collecting, organising, and interpreting data to support accurate forecasting, strategic planning.
  • Management of and communication of contract status to key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of contracted Scope of Works.
  • Lead full lifecycle from Pre award, execution to post award.
Skills & experience
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in contracts management of large offshore wind required.
  • At least bachelor’s degree qualification in Supply Chain Management /Engineering /Business/ Law or equivalent.
  • Contract management experience throughout the life cycle of large offshore wind project,
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience of managing contracts for Offshore Wind Electrical projects (Offshore & Onshore High Voltage Equipment and Export Cables - FEED & EPCI).
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Marine Operations and Marine Survey (desirable).
  • Experience managing ITT processes for contracts in offshore wind sector
  • Robust understanding and proven experience of using FIDIC yellow and silver forms of contracts (essential) and LOGIC (desirable).
  • Knowledge of utilities and/or experience of public sector tendering.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Contract management
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract management tools, platforms and processes.
