Network Design Engineer

Key responsibilities
  • Managing Cisco Enterprise LAN environments, 3rd line support level including, deployment, administration and troubleshooting. Ideally to a CCNP and CCDP level.
  • Managing WAN connectivity and routing protocols also with experience and understanding of the implementation, configuration and management of virtual and physical networking solutions
  • Designing and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 switching and routing,
  • Designing, configuring and troubleshooting VPC, VDC, STP, BGP, OSPF and other key mainstream protocols
  • Designing, configuring and troubleshooting Sidewinders and ASAv firewalls
  • Working within the end to end engineering processes
  • Experience in ITIL ICT service delivery on critical infrastructure
Skills & experience

Network Design and Implementation certification/experience at 'professional' level or above in the following technologies:

  • Cisco switching
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco Firewalling
  • F5 (GTM)

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • Routing (general)
  • Firewalling (multiple vendors)
  • Juniper (switching/routing/firewalling)
