Our client has an opportunity for an experienced SCCM Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for the management, maintenance and upkeep of IT in 2 main locations in England and Scotland.

You will need to be an SCCM expert and be confident in building, developing, deploying and maintaining core Data Centre technologies. Experience working in a corporate, multi-site environment would be beneficia.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days on site per week. Be part of and out of hours in call support rota as required.

Key responsibilities
  • Setup and manage deployments using SCCM and Active Directory.
  • Support and troubleshooting for SCCM issues such as software deployments and automated builds.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new build processes using task sequencing.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and integration processes.
  • Develop, build, test and maintain operating systems and core applications for distribution to virtual server and desktop infrastructure.
  • Ensuring Data Centre and Hardware responsiveness and availability of services are maintained.
  • Identify, plan, and drive maintenance tasks and upgrades in line with change management procedures.
  • Evaluate technologies, including assessing how they may be developed or deployed to enhance end user service.
Skills & experience
  • Be an SCCM SME, having worked in a similar role where managing SCCM infrastructure was a key part of the role.
  • Experience with server builds, images and automating patch management.
  • Virtualization (VMware).
  • Datacentre Server and Storage platforms.
  • Ability to automate tasks and deploy applications in SCCM.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience in large-scale and complex environments.
