Our client modifies Aircraft for the military under both civil and military regulatory environments and is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
You will need experience with military aircraft and modification to be considering for this role, as well as knowledge of data configuration storage and referencing.
Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week on site, the rest can be done remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with modification Design Engineers to support the production of modification documentation.
- Identify, collate and reference design data through the project Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) tool and network files.
- Produce certification evidence forms and letters to allow modifications to be submitted for Certification Validation Engineer (CVE) approval.
- Produce test documentation and other analyses/ reports.
- Produce modification control documentation.
- Ensure that all engineering activities undertaken are conducted in accordance with the client and site procedures.
- Collate, acquire and log design data and product conformity to enable successful test and certification of a wide range of aircraft modifications.
Skills & experience
- Proven and recent experience in the design, integration and certification of aircraft mechanical systems.
- Understanding and experience of aircraft design regulations.
- Knowledge of data configuration storage and referencing.
- Knowledge of military aircraft modification and certification processes and regulations.
- Knowledge of civil aircraft modification and certification processes and regulations.
