Our client produce equipment for the Defence industry and are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join their Production department. 

You will work to ensure on-time delivery of low volume, high complexity products.

This is a flexible role with options to work remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • You would be involved in all aspects of the live shop order database, ensuring they are scheduled and controlled.
  • Ensure that that customer and business demands are met and that the factory has a constant flow of work.
  • Assisting with identifying and resolving overloads.
  • Recommend the best business solutions which minimises the impact on health and safety, utilisation of shop floor space, cost, quality and schedule.
  • Schedule the delivery of high quality engineering products with high complexity and low volume.
  • Plan for priority, overtime, shift work and work centre efficiencies.
Skills & experience
  • Worked with detailed production plans in a professional production engineering environment, preferably for a company producing high quality, high complexity, low volume products.
  • Experience of forecasting completion dates for multi-stage complex projects.
  • Experience in planning for priority, overtime, shift work and efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with people at all levels of the business.
  • Able to manage internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Project, Excel etc).
  • Must possess good reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
