Licensed Aircraft Engineer

Introduction

Our client supports the military with the maintenance and engineering of light aircraft and are looking for Licensed Engineers to fulfil positions across the UK.

You will ensure that all aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other engineering related activities and services are provided as required to meet customer and contractual obligations. 

This role requires full time on site. This is predominantly a Monday – Friday daytime role, and offers flexible hours and the option for condensed weeks if appropriate. You will be expected to travel to other sites across the UK as required.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide a CRS signature for work carried out to release an aircraft to service after defect rectification or scheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure work meets EASA/CAA Part ML and Part 145 and company approvals.
  • Supervise engineering on the aircraft and associated equipment in conformity with authorised schedules, technical publications and instructions ensuring highest standards of maintenance are maintained.
  • Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the Aircraft fleet to ensure airworthiness is maintained.
  • Undertake or supervise the investigation, diagnosis and rectification of defects.
  • To complete documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.
  • Carry out Flight-line operations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure safety and compliance are adhered to at all times.
  • Mentor/support other members of the team where appropriate.

 

Skills & experience
  • EASA/CAA Part 66, B1.2 license. They will consider converting a B1.1 or a B3 license.
  • Military aviation experience is ideal, but they are interested in seeing civilian applications as well.
  • Supervisory experience in a civil/military Aviation environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
  • Driving Licence.
  • A real team player and have a focus on providing an excellent customer service.
