Lead Planner
Introduction
Our client are part of a huge new and exciting project for a massive Renewable Energy programme.
You will be leading the project planning team such as cost estimating, cost engineering, planning and scheduling.
Ideally candidates must have worked on large scale energy or power projects or large infrastructure projects.
This role is predominantly remote but must be able to travel to Birmingham or London.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the planning team in terms of controls, cost estimating, planning and scheduling.
- Ensuring quality assurance to all variables of the project, upholding integrity of all work performed.
- Measuring performance against cost and targets, in line with clients requirements.
- Managing all processes and taking ownership of portfolio reporting requirements.
- Reporting cashflow performance monthly and mitigating costs and risks.
- Ensuring systems and procedures are being followed and are compliant.
- Produce monthly cost reports and scheduling.
- Monitoring all KPI’s and reports to provide assurance to all project areas.
- Ensuring development plans are implemented for transitions.
- Ensuring everything is delivered within timescales.
- Developing Recovery Plans for Scope of Work when required to allow corrective action for adverse performance metrics.
- Acting as the key interface between clients. Applying a top down communication approach.
Skills & experience
- Team leader experience.
- Deep technical experience in all disciplines i.e Cost Estimating, Project Scheduling and Cost Engineering.
- Extensive experience working in a project portfolio environment.
- Good understanding of contract terminology.
- Track record of delivery of strong business results, with complex and competing priorities.
- Experience in either of the following industries such as: Power & Renewables, HVDC, Energy & Power generation, Offshore cabling, Windfarm is essential.
