Junior IT Project Manager

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver project and related activity support to other areas of the IT department including the IT Operations Manager, IT Service Delivery Manager and the Business Information Systems Manager and contribute to the wider IT department goals
  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects on time, to specification and in budget, providing project governance and compliance
  • Work with other operational, delivery and functional teams to determine necessary activities to successfully deliver IT projects
  • Identify appropriate project methodologies to meet the customer’s needs and understand the pipeline of demand and work to ensure an appropriate supply of resources to successfully deliver the project
  • Drive operational improvements and efficiencies through the creation and implementation of rigorous process and controls, act as a gatekeeper for quality
  • Provide complete project documentation e.g. PID, PCR, RAID, RAIL, PCD, Gantt etc, convene and record project meetings as necessary
  • Manage multiple resources to deliver projects in alignment with customer needs with transparency to Head of Business Systems
  • Manage and leading stakeholders towards solutions while helping them understand resource constraints and prioritisation conflicts
  • Generate, maintain and communicate Key Performance Indicators relating to IT projects
  • Occasionally manage supporting technology vendors, and lead elements of the technology and service delivery projects such as for the company Anywhere digital transformation
Skills & experience

Education and Qualifications:

  • Project management qualification desirable (PMP or equivalent)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices, including coaching, learning and mentoring
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects in a complex, changing environment
  • At least 3 years of project management / delivery and client relationship management in a technology environment
