Introduction

The successful candidate will be ‘Solutions’ focused and work with clients and technical teams, to develop technical solutions to complex problems. Experience within Digital transformation would be beneficial.

This role will be embedded within the client and therefore you must have excellent customer facing experience.

As a Junior Infrastructure architect, you will be responsible for the design, description and managing the development of solutions to support our client’s business strategies.

Key responsibilities
  • Hands on engineering experience moving into architecture level.
  • Client facing skills with the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts to key stakeholders.
  • Growing knowledge of the design and implementation of secure, highly resilient, large-scale infrastructures.
  • Experience of working directly with customers to define and elaborate infrastructure requirements.
  • Experience of supporting/deploying production implementations with successful project completion and service transition.
  • Supporting infrastructure solution design
  • Knowledge of automation tooling to facilitate CI/CD approaches to IaC.
  • Solution Design/Definition Experience supporting bid, transition and transformation activities.
Skills & experience

  • Active Directory Designs & MS Infrastructure Designs & VM Infrastructure Designs.
  • VMWare ESX v7,v6, v5, v4, v3 & VMWare VSAN, 6.0, 7.0 & VMWare VDI 4, Horizon 6.5.
  • Microsoft Hyper-V..
  • MS SCCM 2007 r3, 2012 & MS SCOM 2012.
  • MS Windows 2008, 2012r2, 2016.
  • Netapp - storage and backup.
  • Windows core service and software. Including but not limited to IIS, TMG, DFS.
  • Terminal services and clustering.
  • Microsoft Exchange 2013, 2010 and 2007.
  • Cloud – AWS, Azure.
  • Windows 2019, windows 10, antivirus endpoint protection and hardening, mvision application white listing.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • MS SCCM 2007 r3, 2012 & MS SCOM 2012.
  • Understanding of SAN protocols including ISCSI, NFS and SMB.
  • TCP/IP, routing and high availability protocols.
  • Network and security. Including but not limited to Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco, Brocade and F5.
  • Server hardware and network cabling.
  • Data migration.
