Introduction

 Our client is a leading Aerospace and Defence Engineering Consultancy and they are looking to grow their team in the Aerospace division!

This is an excellent opportunity for a ‘Systems Thinker’ who wants the support of an exceptional company to help grow their skills and work on cutting edge projects within Advanced Air Mobility.

There will be some remote working available, but due to the level of the role and investment that our client wants to give you, you will be expected to be in the office/onsite at least 50% of the time!

Our client is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer with knowledge aircraft systems, flight operations, airspace integration, aerospace regulator frameworks and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities
  • Support to the growth of the Aerospace capability within the company through the provision of systems engineering expertise.
  • Stakeholder management across our clients and partners.
  • Problem discovery, definition and presentation.
  • Communicating complex concepts in a compelling and straightforward way.
  • Influencing stakeholders and non-technical team members.
  • Conduct technical analyses of a wide range of topics (e.g. through-life sustainability of vehicles, asset management, command and control and human factors) and make recommendations.
  • Develop understanding of customers’ needs and development of appropriate solutions.

 

Skills & experience
  • Ideally an engineering degree and 1+ years’ experience of applying systems thinking
  • Knowledge of one or more areas of Aerospace e.g. aircraft systems, flight operations, airspace integration, regulator frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Experienced within Systems Engineering and the application of systems engineering processes across the system lifecycle.
  • Working with complex systems and advanced system integration.
  • Techniques applied in engineering to capture requirements and develop solution designs, e.g. Model Based Systems Engineering.
