Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer, to be the ‘face’ of their business in either London or Manchester.

You will be working closely with the client to build relationships and deliver technical solutions, as well as building up our client’s technical capability on site.

This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week in London, and 5 days minimum per week if based in Manchester.

Key responsibilities
  • Developing software for cutting edge technology innovation projects.
  • Developing Java software and working across the entire Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Designing, developing, delivering and supporting a number of cutting edge and bespoke solutions for clients.
  • Recruit and build a team of engineers.
  • Take technical leadership and make technical decisions.
  • Opportunity to take a Scrum Master role.
  • Mentoring and developing junior developers’ skills.
Skills & experience
  • Back-end, microservices – Java.
  • On Openshift hosting, may move to AWS in due course.
  • Strands are Lineage of providence, Data cataloguing and Data labelling.
  • Excellent customer facing skills and ability to be the ‘face’ of the customer.
  • Flexibility to move from one thing to next, in a team on own.
