IT Project Manager

Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who has worked with large global/matrix organisations and delivered application or server migrations!

The IT Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, monitoring, controlling, reporting and closure of these digital transformation projects.

You must have worked in a highly regulated environment, managing £0.5mil + projects and teams of 5+ to be considered.

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Manages all aspects of multiple highly complex technical projects concurrently from initiation through closure.
  • Takes full end to end responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of the projects.
  • Direct teams to fulfil organisational demand and to resolve issues to ensure project or program goals and requirements are met.
  • Provides scope and/or budget bids and analysis, resource allocation and coordination of project/program activities.
  • Assigns and monitors work of the interdisciplinary team to deliver on-time and within scope and budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including third parties/vendors.
  • Communicate efficiently with a diversified audience including C-level executives.
Skills & experience
  • Experience managing Server or Application migration projects in the defence or another highly regulated technical industry.
  • Ideally have worked within global environments and/or global matrix organisations.
  • Have demonstrable senior project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication.
  • Have managed teams of greater than 5 people.
  • Have managed technical projects of greater than 6 months duration and greater than £0.5m in budget.
  • Proven experience of full lifecycle management of IT Programmes and Projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation.
