IT Consultant

Looking for an IT Contractor to do a mixture of BAU, Support and Project work for a secure site.

The role is primarily Windows focused, but a knowledge of Linux for legacy systems would be helpful!

Excellent knowledge of Active Directory is essential.

• To support and manage the Information systems and applications
• Provide 1^st Line Support as and when required
• Work on a variety of projects required for a number of upgrade projects
• Help and assist with the maintenance of servers through back-ups, upgrades and security updates
• Provision of planning and execution of technology refreshes
• Undertake and contribute to project work when required

• Self-starter with the ability to work on their own with minimal management
• Excellent knowledge of Windows 2016 and Active Directory
• Patching & Updates via WSUS
• Good verbal and written communication skills

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

• Experience of virtualisation technologies (VMware, vSphere)
• Linux (CentOS preferred) experience
• My SQL
• ITIL
• PHP
• Knowledge of Maximo
• Good knowledge of 1 of the following: Node JS, BMC Remedy Action, Request Server, Powershell, SCCMe
