• Our client is looking for a skilled Stock Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role involves managing stock accounting processes, ensuring accurate product costing, and maintaining precise stock records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage 50 and be confident in handling Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cost data.

Working Patterns and location – This role is based full time on site.

• Manage and oversee all stock accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile stock movements, adjustments, and valuations.
• Maintain and review BOMs to guarantee correct product costing.
• Support month-end processes, including stock reconciliations and reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies between standard and actual costs.
• Keep Sage 50 stock and costing data accurate and up to date.
• Prepare detailed reports and insights to aid financial and operational decisions.
• Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to optimise stock control processes.
• Assist with stock audits and cycle counts, ensuring robust control measures.

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience.
• Strong experience in stock accounting, costing, and BOM management.
• Proven expertise using Sage 50 in a stock and costing environment.
• Advanced Excel skills for effective data analysis and interpretation.
• High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and initiative.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
