Our client are a large consultancies in the UK and are particular successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Change and Software Engineering.

Key responsibilities
  • Working with our Public Sector clients to understand the opportunity for intelligent automation within their organisation, documenting the potential costs and benefits, and leading the development of automation strategies, defining and embedding principles, crafting roadmaps and business cases.
  • Working effectively within inclusive and diverse teams within where people are recognised for their contribution, and actively supporting the development of individuals and teams, both formally and informally.
  • Leading both advisory and implementation projects, from helping clients with their wider transformation strategies, to implementing the full lifecycle of delivery projects of Design, Develop, Pilot, Deploy, Test, Run.
  • Understanding, evaluating, and re-imagining end-to-end processes within publicly sensitive operations, resulting in clear requirements for automation development.
  • Leading teams to undertake requirements gathering (both process and technical), client interviewing, documentation of processes and process assessment.
  • Leading workshops and trainings to share knowledge and insight with Public Sector clients.
  • Working with stakeholders at all levels including senior stakeholders and across the Client  and third parties (including software vendors).
  • Providing support in product development, proposals and research.
Skills & experience
  • Have a keen interest in intelligent automation technology and its implications for our Public Sector organisations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of RPA and Intelligent Automation, strong familiarity with the key vendor platforms and their differences, and a clear understanding of the direction of travel in the market
  • Delivered RPA and/or intelligent automation projects or workstreams, from opportunity identification, to live deployment and hypercare (preferably in a Public Sector environment)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of process improvement, process design, business process mapping and experience in delivering end-to-end process reviews
  • Knowledge of multiple Public Sector priorities and internal business functions, to identify common process-related challenges in these
  • Demonstrate an understanding of varied working cultures, with experience of working and delivering change within complex Public Sector environments
  • Demonstrate experience managing complex stakeholder environments and relationships
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing both business and technology teams, including day-to-day managing of resources, quality assurance of client deliverables, and timely delivery of desired outcomes
  • You should hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and have professional working proficiency in the English language

Core consulting skills:

  • A "can do" attitude; a hands-on and flexible approach to emerging requirements and a real willingness to learn and participate
  • Good communication, presentation, and people skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, technical and process conversations to different audiences within an organisation
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to exercise mature judgment and escalate as appropriate
  • Experience of working in fast-paced and demanding delivery-focused environments, with ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Understanding and awareness of the commercial and reputational risks the company may encounter and the appropriate mitigations

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • An understanding of the different Cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and the benefits of Cloud computing
  • Experience with Cloud solution architecture, and Cloud security
  • Designed and/or delivered automation centres of excellence (CoE) and operating models
  • Practical experience in Lean Six Sigma or Lean management
  • Have previously worked within an agile delivery environment, with experience or certification in delivering change initiatives in an agile way
