Infrastructure Design Engineer

Our client have a large amount of staff working on ‘secure’ IT within the MOD and they are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team to design and support those systems!

You will need experience designing infrastructure and knowledge of the design processes, as well as being very competent in Intune and Entra, as well as the rest of the Microsoft Suite.

Candidates can choose to go onto site as much as they like, but the requirement is likely for a couple of days per month. Will be required to travel to other secure sites in Hampshire and Wiltshire as required.

• Design and 3^rd line support for projects across the organisation.
• Deliver technical projects and ensure project delivery.
• Design of Microsoft Cloud (Intune and Entra) and support.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders through excellent communication and teamwork.
• Gather and document technical requirements.
• Identify and propose suitable solutions for current and future business needs.
• Implement and test systems solutions.

• 3^rd Line support experience of Microsoft Technologies.
• Infrastructure Design experience (ideally Microsoft Cloud such as Intune and Entra, but willing to consider who have design experience of something else).
• Microsoft Intune.
• Entra Conditional Access Configuration.
• Entra Identity Design, implementation and Troubleshooting.
• M365 Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for Windows Server, VMware and Veeam server-related issues.
• Scripting – Powershell, SQL or similar.
• Strong Active Directory Configuration and Troubleshooting.
• Understanding the business needs of customers and designing solutions which meet those requirements.
• Ability to take on complex challenges and utilise technical knowledge and experience to deliver effective solutions.
