Hydraulic Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to work across a mixture of projects within Energy, Water, Defence, Power etc.

They specialise in all aspects of fluid mechanics and are looking for someone to work across the full lifecycle, particularly in the design stages.

Working Patterns and location - Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week onsite, some travel will be required UK wide but will be expensed from your local site.

• Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
• Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
• Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

• Experienced in a similar hydraulic design role.
• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Sound Knowledge and experience of hydraulic design of water / wastewater treatment plant design, pipeline design, surge analysis, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
• Experience of Design & Build.
• Expert in using industry standard software such as HADES, VARISIM, WANDA.
• Recognised industry profile.
