The Head of Business Support will design, drive and implement our digital transformation strategy to support business growth and, provide visible and strategic leadership to the IT function for our clients UK business.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the development of our clients Technology Roadmap and facilitation of innovation/technology-enabled capabilities
  • To collaborate with and understand, other Enabling Service areas that impact Digital Transformation or Information System deployment. This includes working closely with and understanding the role of IT, Security, Security, Facilities and Marketing.
Skills & experience
  • You are a technology business leader with extensive (10+yrs) experience of leading IT teams/departments ideally in Defence/Security industry
  • Experience of leading and delivering large scale/enterprise level IT transformation programmes
  • Experience of having managed IT service/operations teams in a complex, technology business with 500+ users
  • Experience of IT Service Model development (ITIL qualifications desirable) and implementation to ensure efficient and effective service delivery across the estate to agreed SLA’s
  • Ability to translate business objectives/needs into technical vision, system/IT requirements and deliverable plans
  • Experience of leading complex software asset management programmes to mitigate risk, implement change and optimise tooling to support business objectives
  • Experience of implementing programmes (IT tooling and business processes) to change/modernise ways of working. Office 365 Migration experience preferable
  • ERP transformation experience preferable – SAP/MS Dynamics
  • Significant SaaS and cloud services (AWS/Azure) experience
  • Experience of integrating business systems/merging organisational infrastructures preferable (M&A)
  • Strong commercial acumen – understand economic impacts of digital transformation and is confident in leading the business in technical advancements that will deliver change and value
  • Advanced programme/project management experience – formal qualification preferred (APM, PMI, Agile trained)
  • Awareness and deep appreciation of IT Security protocols, accreditations and Cyber protection controls including, but not limited to, ISO27001 and UK/US Gov regimes
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress within a dynamic growing organisation
  • Strong leadership and management skills and can operate effectively under pressure
