Hazards Engineer

Introduction

Our client are a leading consultancy within the Nuclear environment. They are looking for a Hazards Engineer to assess risk and hazards and deliver technical solutions.

You will be delivering safety cases to demonstrate how risks are understood and controlled to multidisciplinary teams. You will also be leading projects and mentoring junior engineers on safety management.

Working Patterns: This role will be a hybrid role – expected 2-3 days per week on site in Bristol, Manchester, Surrey, Sheffield or Derby.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the delivery of high profile hazard safety cases.
  • Assess hazards and risks in a nuclear facility environment.
  • Coordinate and deliver hazard assignments to ensure high quality and standardised reports.
  • Study and assess the impact of hazards within the Nuclear industry. Keeping up to date with standards and policies.
  • Deliver detailed analysis to support internal and external hazard assessment.
  • Engage with stakeholders and clients in order to present technical findings.
  • Mentor junior members of the team to build and support future capabilities.
Skills & experience
  • Previous experience working within the Nuclear sector
  • Strong hazard assessment expertise
  • Developing Safety cases and excellent technical report writing skills.
