Our client is currently recruiting for people to work in the Defence and Aerospace domains. Our client offers a range of independent and unbiased advice in engineering, technical and strategic advisory services to a wide breadth of markets and clients.

Our client offers ‘through-life’ support to the MoD and equipment manufacturers, and because they don’t manufacture anything theirselves, their clients can rely on them to offer independent and unbiased recommendations. The industry looks to them for advice on the latest issues and, with duty of care always high on the MoD’s agenda, which is driving this increasing demand.

Key responsibilities
  • Work as an effective member of a GIS project team on high profile infrastructure projects.
  • Produce high-quality GIS outputs and products to meet project requirements to deadlines and according to project standards.
  • Help create and administer project Web Mapping applications both open source and proprietary.
  • Devise and provide appropriate GIS analysis, data creation and management to support projects and disciplines.
  • Communicate the benefits of GIS in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Assist in the development of business opportunities by providing client focused GIS solutions
Skills & experience
  • You are passionate about how GIS solutions can solve real-life problems.
  • You have a degree qualification in GIS or a related field and strong experience using GIS software.
  • You have strong experience using ArcGIS 10.x and its extensions including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro. Esri Enterprise knowledge desirable.
  • Desirable to have administered mobile data capture applications such as Esri's Survey 123 or ArcGIS Collector.
  • You have proven experience of delivering high quality outputs to deadlines within pressurised environments.
  • You have some experience in providing GIS support in a project environment with internal clients.
  • You are able to communicate the benefits of GIS to various stakeholders.
  • You have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
