Introduction

Due to the nature of the work being undertaken in this role you will be required to work onsite 100% of the time.

My client is a large engineering and research consultancy who are constantly developing cutting-edge products for the Military and other defence clients.

They are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to help with the design, development, testing and integration of FPGAs for ongoing projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, development, integration and testing as required by the project.
  • Produce high-quality supporting design documentation.
  • Contribute expertise across a broad range of design activities.
  • Develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
  • Apply best practice for source code control, build, test/troubleshooting (debugging/fault finding), and distribution.
Skills & experience
  • Expertise in DSP algorithm modelling for RF systems and FPGA design to control ADC/DAC.
  • Expertise in interfacing FPGA with high-speed digital data.
  • Embedded C/C++ skills.
  • Knowledge of one or more defence disciplines, such as Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Radar, or GNSS.
  • Experience of Python in the use of test scripts or post-data processing.
  • OpenCPI software framework.
