Facilities Engineer

Introduction

Our defence client is looking for a Facilities Engineer to ensure the safety, legal compliance, functionality and regulatory adherence of a Military site’s environment.

You will be assisting with the delivery of M&E maintenance for commercial and hangar buildings, so a recognised qualification in a building service discipline is essential!

This role is based full time on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe, legally compliant, and functional built environment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, reactive and remedial works.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and high levels of system reliability.
  • Host and manage the visiting supply chain.
  • Review method and risk assessments.
  • Administrate the safe system of work including the issue of permits to work.
  • Create/produce risk and method statements for in-house reactive and planned tasks.
  • Maintain building compliance records using the CAFM System (TABS).
Skills & experience
  • Recognised qualification in a building service discipline.
  • Knowledge of Information Security and Data Protection act.
  • Working Understanding of COSHH and completed H&S training (such as IOSH)
  • Legionella (L8) Water Hygiene qualification or awareness.
  • Machine operations to IPAF 3a and 3b.
  • Hold or working towards Membership of an associated Professional Institute.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Facilities Management (4 Day) Qualification.
