Facilities Engineer
Introduction
Our defence client is looking for a Facilities Engineer to ensure the safety, legal compliance, functionality and regulatory adherence of a Military site’s environment.
You will be assisting with the delivery of M&E maintenance for commercial and hangar buildings, so a recognised qualification in a building service discipline is essential!
This role is based full time on site.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, legally compliant, and functional built environment.
- Carry out planned maintenance, reactive and remedial works.
- Ensure statutory compliance and high levels of system reliability.
- Host and manage the visiting supply chain.
- Review method and risk assessments.
- Administrate the safe system of work including the issue of permits to work.
- Create/produce risk and method statements for in-house reactive and planned tasks.
- Maintain building compliance records using the CAFM System (TABS).
Skills & experience
- Recognised qualification in a building service discipline.
- Knowledge of Information Security and Data Protection act.
- Working Understanding of COSHH and completed H&S training (such as IOSH)
- Legionella (L8) Water Hygiene qualification or awareness.
- Machine operations to IPAF 3a and 3b.
- Hold or working towards Membership of an associated Professional Institute.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Facilities Management (4 Day) Qualification.
