Electrical Engineer
Introduction
Our client works on ultra secure sites, so this role offers excellent variety for someone with an electrical background – this really offers something different from the day-to-day electrical work that come with standard commercial and housing projects.
The variety of work include turnkey solutions, electrical fabrication, rigging, satellite communication builds etc.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work onsite. You may also be required to travel to customer sites throughout the UK and spend up to 8 weeks at a time abroad for the ideal candidate. Typical local hours are 8am – 4pm and they do offer a degree of flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Provide installation for electrical, data, mechanical and communication equipment at customer locations
- Ensure installation related documentation is submitted to the customer
- Ensure appropriate engineering standards are employed
- Contribute to the engineering function to help my client become the preferred supplier
- Accurate completion of documentation such as returned hours, claim forms, toolbox checks etc
Skills & experience
- Experience in an electrician, electrical apprentice or military experience in electrical engineering, rigging etc.
- Defence experience preferred, must be prepared to go through the highest level clearance
- C&G 2392 18th Edition Electrical Installations (the client can put you through this certification if not already obtained)
- Experienced in C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (the client can train you)
- Engineering Qualification NVQ3
- IOSH Managing Safely
- UK Driving licence is essential
