Design Manager

Our client is supporting critical projects and programmes within the water sector and is looking for a Senior  Design Manager to support across all aspects of design management!

They are delivering water services into multiple other sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Power and Transport and this is a really exciting time to join the team!

Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week onsite, some travel will be required UK wide but will be expensed from your local site.

• Work across water and wastewater treatment, storage and collection facilities and systems.
• Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
• Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
• Sound knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
• Sound commercial, contractual and programme experience.
