Defence Systems Engineer
Introduction
Our client is working very closely with the Ministry of Defence on the design and development of new training systems.
They are looking for Systems Engineers to perform requirements elicitation and management, system design, interface management, IV&V and product qualification.
The ideal candidate will have strong Defence or Aerospace experience working across the V-model, including design experience.
This role is primarily remote with occasional travel UK wide.
Key responsibilities
- Work to define work packages and technical requirements.
- Undertake activities associated with product specification and qualification.
- Perform tasks across the whole V-model, from capturing and managing requirements, through to IV&V and delivery.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes and procedures
- Support and complete bid and tender responses.
- Carry out out Systems analysis and design work.
- Perform technical design reviews, oversight and governance.
Skills & experience
- A relevant degree or equivalent training and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in systems engineering, ideally on all sections of the V-model.
- Experience with systems engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of the development of Systems of Systems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products.
- Experience with Atlassian suite, working with Jira, Confluence, Dimension RM and DOORS
- Valid driving licence.
