For this role you will have to be eligible and wanting to achieve DV clearance. Due to the nature of the role and the projects you will be working on this will be required. Please make yourself aware of the vetting process before applying. The client will put successful candidates through the vetting process to achieve clearance. Typically, this process will take between 4-8 months but can be quicker. The client will allow successful candidates to start before they achieve their clearance as they will work on other projects and training.

Data is constantly increasing in volume and complexity, making threats ever harder to identify and mitigate. In this role you will help protect the client and its customers by developing and delivering innovative techniques to exploit massive and complex datasets, using the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities
  • Developing data science capabilities such as big data processing pipelines, machine learning models, graph analytics and streaming analytics.
  • Identify, acquire, understand and leverage relevant data sources available.
  • Create and deliver presentations to convey data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to agile team activities, knowledge sharing and training.
  • Engage with teams across the client’s security to understand their data science requirements and drive projects from inception through to delivery.
Skills & experience
  • A broad understanding of data science including big data processing, analysis and data storytelling
  • Experience in data science-relevant languages such as SQL, Python or Scala

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • Experience in internal and external stakeholder management and engagement
  • Understanding of malware threats, networking principles, geospatial data and telecoms data
