In this role you will help protect the client and its customers, delivering innovative techniques for detecting threats in an ever evolving threat landscape.

  • Security incidents carry financial costs and can impact their brand and reputation as well as their customers. Understanding these threats in depth helps them identify ways in which they can prevent them in the future.
  • Delivering great customer experience by engaging with internal and external customers, seeking feedback and utilising this to improve and transform the way in which they work.
Key responsibilities
  • You’ll be responsible for providing advanced analytics for detecting malware and other threats to the client and its customers.
  • Assessing information provided by threat intelligence feeds to ascertain the relevance to the customer.
  • Applying your knowledge of current and past malware methods, attack methodologies, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures) to discover anomalies and trends within the data.
  • Continuously identifying operational and technical improvements that can be made within the customers environment.
  • Reviewing information from various sources using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to interpret gaps, patterns and trends, assess threat, risk and harm and make recommendations and provide advice to the end customer.
  • You will understand the current threat landscape and previous and recent attack methods.
Skills & experience
  • Core competencies: A highly self-motivated and confident thinker, able to work as part of a team in order to understand potential threats.
  • Data Science: Knowledge of big data processing technologies such as Spark and Kafka as well as the various analytical methods used to interpret large, complex datasets.
  • Research: Ability to identify useful sources of OSINT and corporate data to assist with developing cyber capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex issues to the relevant senior audience, both verbally and written.
  • Networking: Broad understanding of networking fundamentals with particular focus on TCP/UDP and key application layer protocols such as TLS, HTTP and DNS
