Our client is a highly regarded consultancy working within the transport and utilities sector. They are looking for Cost Compliance & Assurance Specialists with cost assurance, auditing, and compliance experience to support their high-profile clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across high-profile and challenging projects with a world-leading consultancy.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and support a diverse team, aiding junior members' growth.
  • Contribute to service line development through bids and business generation.
  • Refine internal training and product management for the service line.
  • Review contractor systems and processes, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Analyse complex construction contracts (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke).
  • Test data using smart tools like PowerBi/Tableau.
  • Write succinct, professional findings reports with key recommendations.
  • Review client-bound outputs and provide feedback.
  • Build trust-based, professional relationships with clients and reviewees.
  • Engage the supply chain to promote assurance and collaboration.
Skills & experience
  • Assurance or audit experience in construction, commercial, or accountancy.
  • Knowledge of construction procurement, disallowed costs, target pricing, and pain/gain calculation.
  • Contract management experience (NEC3/4 preferred).
  • Assess cost accuracy and entitlement.
  • Change management and forecast control.
  • Data analysis with PowerBi/Tableau preferred.
  • Report writing to convey complex messages clearly.
  • Experience managing teams and variable workloads.
  • Strong presentation skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Working towards or holding professional membership (e.g., MRICS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
